Psychosis 1999

July 27, 1999
This is a story of a night not so unlike any night.  A night of fear despair, separation and destruction.  Judgement night.
The girl was alone, she had no where to run and no where to hide.  Lost souls of the generations screamed out..."Are you ready this time?" "Are you prepared?" "We are leaving you behind again...did we not practice this departure over and over?"  "Every night in your dreams we cried out to you, we pleaded with you to come to be ready this time...we have come for your willing soul so many times...we have rescued you from the sea of death for eternity."  "Did we not lay a plain path before you? Did we not play the right games?  Send out enough souls to bring you back?'

The girl shuddered with fear and ever word and action, missed opportunity and denial flew inside her mind.  Ever song, every late night whisper and every last face clung to her tortured soul.  She wasn't ready.  She'd known her whole life.  She'd been blind until...once again she was too late and left behind.

And her generations cried out again. "You were our little princess!  Why couldn't you wait, all you had to do was wait.  We sent our sons to battle for you...they crossed the battle lines over and over to find you, but you kept running away in fear.  We wanted to take you.  We are leaving now!"

And every one will take one.  And we will go two by two up into heaven.  Every one takes one.

And she was alone.

All she had was her mind.

Insanity.
