Reflection

The windex on the reflection had been smudged in all the worst ways.  Worse than the droplets left by splattered toothpaste and the way it always annoyed her they would appear just the day after a cleaning.  It was those ideas she had in her mind of changing things in her town, as if she mattered at all.  The spell she spelled under kept  her hidden until it was time to see him again.  Mr. Black was around and her back did not hurt, not one bit.  And so she had thought about Adam Raposa for so long and of a "Just Fischer" and a "Just Dye-Delaney"  But something quite formidable was going on around her.

She could sense it in her hair which had turned to snakes.  Always thinking snakes were evil and of the devil.  But even maybe "Hiss" had played his very own part in the garden.  Snakes of all sizes and when the blade of grass before her turned into a two headed snake simply bit both heads off with the sharp of her teeth.

There in paradise she was naked.  Sometimes warm in the sun and sometimes quite cold as if the seasons were changing.

And change she did.  And change there was.
