Little Dreamers

Don't let your thoughts Betray you...
see it's her in that glass reflection.
Just on the other side there,
can't you hear her crying?
Just this one last breath, I have to say.
"There are oceans of lies between us."
What if this Eve... she was your sister?

Would you have the heart to sea her bruised, that way?
Would you protect that little budding warrior?
Or would you laugh, and call her names?
Would you tease her to make her stronger,
as if it were all a game?
Her naivity and trust, and you were just the same.
Little Dreamer.
Til beaten and bruised, you forgot YOUR CLAIM.
Birthright, Knight's tale...long lost boy street.
Turned hate her territory...no sister.

But...

Little sister is fine,
she walks in the sunshine...never had much protection.
She didn't figure this out,
until she saw you in her reflection.

Don't fade on me brother.
It's not your fault, don't be ashamed,
my blacked out
and Blue eyes,
turned into strength reserved for night terrors...
and a determination never limited by blue skies.

Now quick grab a Seashell...
put it to your ear, you will hear!
Over and over she says, you are halfway there!
She remembers so close she can touch you,
but through a thin lining...
And both are deep in the water, but not drowning.
Kept apart by lines and boundaries
Of the waging wars.
And fear.
And noise.
And boys and girls toys.
More money, which won't matter.
More to matter, than seem insignificant Day Dreamer.

To remember childhood dreams...
Ahhhh!
And to think, I have dreamt this story...
Since I was four...
